Mission: Refit and Restock
Location: Earth

Amri smiled as she looked at Earth. She hadn't been back, since she graduated from the Academy. She was very grateful when Lawson had asked her to join him. For what? She wasn't sure, but she was a bit excited.

Amri Vaughan wasn't from here and she still felt so unfamiliar to everything. She felt that he must have known that, but as she told him that she didn't want to be a burden. Her home world had become Trill, when her parents retired from San Frontiers, but she had done left for Aldrin by then after graduating from the Academy. Though, when on Earth, she had stayed with her dad's brother and she never felt comfortable... She kept to herself then and away from them, when she could . Though, her ex from then made her just as uncomfortable. She had to let go of her past and move on, trust in herself and others. She knew the first person to do that with and she always felt a connection from the Academy days. She smiled as she saw him come towards her.

Erik walked up to her. "I have it all planned.....a week in Hawaii......a week in Tahiti.....then 2 weeks in the Australian outback, roughing it. Sound interesting?" He waited for her reaction. "I reserved 2 rooms, unless you'd rather share a room, but that's up to you."

"It's fine." She said quietly. "I am not going back to Aldrin after this." She gave a frown, "I am sorry... You're the best person, but I can't..."

Lawson put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "If you are transferring, so will I because....I love you."

An hour later, they both had put in a request for a transfer, someplace where they can be together.
