I ran into a few Bajorans who were doing a group prayer on the campus when I came out of my quarters at the Cadet Barracks. The lead figure who was apparently a Prylar approached me and convinced me to attend services. Thing was, I thought he was going to try to get me to join prayer where he and whoever was around would join, but he actually engaged me in conversation, probably becuase I'm a random Bajoran he saw walking by. He told me he could sense a lot of confusion about my faith which is pretty odd because I never thought of myself as being confused, but rather just not as immersed and controlled by the will of the prophets as many of my fellow Bajorans have always been. I was already going to jump into the prayer, but he held his hand up and told me of this monastery in a place called Edinborough, Scotland. It was a place located basically in the other side of the planet, not far from Ireland, where my class did one of their training sessions up in the hills out there.
On a whim, I actually went to Scotland and I found the Bajoran Monastery there. When I walked up, there was a Human man dressed in the tradiational garb of a Prylar standing at the doorway. As we met eyes, he smiled, rining the bell to come in, and even gestured for me to enter. I took a deep breath, then exhaled and as I took a couple of steps forward, I received a communique from Starfleet. The voice over my commbadge asked me if I was going to attend a function. I asked what function. She told me that I was supposed to go to a certain function that was to be thrown for my crew as in the Aldrin crew. I honestly didn't remember getting any kind of notification from Starfleet regarding that. I wouldn't have gone anywhere if that was the case, let alone somewhere out of the country.
Anyway, I turned around and headed back to the transport station. Once I got back to San Francisco, I accessed my messages and saw this invitation set to the Aldrin crew, including myself, for some sort of engagement that was to have food, some entertainment. I thought it was a good thing because I've been curious about my crewmates for the entire five weeks i've been sequestered here on Earth. I felt it would be a great opportunity to also get acquainted with my department head, Chief Enginer Darnell as well as any other engineers I'd hope to meet there from the roster I've studied. When I got there, it was quaint. There were a good amount of people in casual attire so without their Starfleet uniforms, it was a little more difficult to identify anyone. Still, it was good that some of them were able to identify me. Before I could actively start searching, I already spotted Captain House, my crew's second in command, cooking at what looked like some sort of cooking panel which was not an oven exactly. Lieutenant Sheme, the chief of security, caught me first after I got some food and we spent over half an hour getting acquainted.
After her, I spoke to several other crewmates. Unfortunately I did not get to speak with Chief Darnell yet, but I was told that I was to "Get Ready" which to me sounded like a sign that this gathering is a prelude to finally getting aboard the Aldrin and setting off for duty. End Log.
