| Personal History | Reon is a citizen of the town of Sentha which is located in the north east section of Dakor Province on the planet Bajor. He was born years after the end of the occupation and not long after the Dominion War ended. He was among the younger generation so the vast majority of his family had experienced those years by that point. He had faced some adversity from people who have experienced it, some of which have even held the fact that he evaded some of Bajor's tougher modern years by being born after both those events in their history, but it did not stop him from being who he was. His Uncle Jorel and their family have always been closely linked to them, where he has three cousins, Leara, Ty, and (Unnamed Cousin). Ty was the eldest of them and lived all his childhood through the last years of the occupation. By the time the Dominion War started, Ty was in Starfleet and the stories Reon heard from his siblings about him, inspired him to join Starfleet as well. His reasons were different though. Once when he spoke to Ty regarding their backgrounds, he learned that Ty felt that he would contribute to the universe better by joining Starfleet and keeping the universe at peace with his contributions as a thank you to the Federation and the Prophets. He wanted to join Starfleet because he could not truly understand the chip many Bajorans kept on their shoulders regarding what they had been through in the time before his birth. Though he observed most of the practices and appreciated his religion and heritage in his own way, he also had immersed himself less in the religious faith then most Bajorans did, even his cousins. Being fascinated with technology, he felt he could do more in the universe by contributing with his talents and skills outside the Bajoran system. | |
