I've been doing almost a month worth of training, extension courses, exercising, and I have done everything I could to stay busy. I think what I've been feeling is that most of my class, and especially all my friends have already gotten started to their careers. Then I remember what I'd probably hear from Vedek Nasun. He'd probably tell me to look at the bigger picture, so I took some extra time this morning to think about how I've been approaching this. While they are all hard at work, I've been keeping busy myself, and I've been able to do some traveling. Exploration, at least of this planet that I'm on. I can't be too far away because I don't know when I will suddenly be called to the Aldrin, so I figured why not do some more. While I was eating my breakfast, I looked up some locations on Earth, since I didn't really get around much the years I was still a Cadet here and came across this place in Asia called Bangkok, Thailand.
      Actually, it was pretty nice. I ran into some interesting vendors who really tried hard to sell me whatever they were selling. There were vendors selling food off of Kiosks and a lady selling clothing and fashion accessories, and a guy who was trying to get me to pay him just for watching his Uncle play some kind of interesting instrument in the open courtyard. The music was not bad, but I could totally do without the weather which was hot and humid all the time. I wasn't even that covered and still it took somewhat of a toll on me throughout my time there. I'm going to visit some of the Buddhist temples there. They're a little more elaborate than the ones on Bajor from the pictures I've seen and what I've heard from classmates who have been there before.
      It's nice to know that there are people in the galaxy who are as spiritual as a whole as my species. I'm sure I'll find my experiences there enlightening to say the least. The pictures have made them look so beautiful. I will report more once I go there and look around.
