Mission: Ghost Hunting Season
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal, Earth
Timeline: Current Day

I still haven't heard anything from Commander Parnham yet, so I decided to take some time and go somewhere peaceful. I did some research yesterday morning before going about and doing some errands and found that Kathmandu, Nepal. I was considering a place I've been to called Yellowstone where there are a good amount of mountains and forest trees, but I know a lot of people who like to go there. I also considered the dunes of the Sahara in Egypt, but I don't really like really hot climates. When I found Kathmandu, Nepal, I thought it was something that suited exactly what I wanted to do at that moment so I packed a travel back and decided to go there.
I came to an open area with nothing but mountains which was great. I think that range was called the "Himalayas" or "Himalayans" and because of the Human religious notations of what is observed in that part of the world, the Federation government apparently has allowed it to not be industrialized too much in the past few centuries as much of the rest of the planet has. It was true. The weather was a tad cold, but it was really chilly only because the winds were somewhat heavy, making the climate reach those kinds of temperatures. It was very rocky. I did go through a lot of paths and maneuver around a lot of rocks, take thin roads, and when I came to an opening while I was somewhere about eight-thousand feet up, I'd assume, I saw a cave across the way with only a thin wooden and rope bridge connecting both the mountain I was on and the mountain that cave was on. I seriously had to be at least seven thousand feet up from the ground because I actually looked down from the cliff and saw just clouds beneath. The winds seemed heavier at that point and the bridge seemed even less easy to walk on by look alone.
I was actually considering on walking across it when suddenly, some old man came out of nowhere and started asking me basically why I was there. He was clearly old and wise, a human man in a yellow and rust colored toga kind of attire. He was telling me about the legend of a being called Guljara that apparently lives in the cave I was looking at and caused a lot of deaths of people who tried to get wisdom from him which he supposedly had an infinite amount to bless people with, yet no one even til this day has been able to get it or even go near it, despite technology and studies. He oddly enough knew my name and all about me when I never met him until that point. He said he never goes out basically, lives on the mountain nearby that bridge which is kind of weird since shortly after, he disappeared and I couldn't find him no matter how hard I tried to look for him.
Makes me think that the Earth has places almost as mystical in presence as Bajor does. Definitely something to tell Vedek Nasun or at least my family about. Anyway, I decided not to pursue the cave and just go back to San Francisco. I can be called to the Aldrin at any time so, end Log
