Sineade struggled back to her feet, her head pounding from both the headache and the impacts from fist and floor. "Thanks for coming Flower. I don’t know what is going on, they are just... out of control!"

“No problem Tinker. We aren’t supposed to hurt them just subdue them,” Flower looked mischievously at Tinker.

Sineade saw the look in Flower's eyes, "Do you have a plan? My head hurts too much to think."

“We might be able to do that from here. Are my tools with yours?” She asked as her tail curled up fast.

Sineade raised her eyebrows and nodded, and then a smile slowly grew on her face, "Oh! That is a great Idea!" She pointed over to where her locker was, "They are all in there."

Flower walked over to get not her set but also Sineade’s set of tools. “Now what we do is play ‘hit the engineer in the head’, then sit back and see who falls first.” Flower started the game with tossing her wrench into the fray.

Two engineers were fighting and the wrench landed at their feet, they both looked down and went to grab it, the fact that they both managed to get a hand on the tool meant that the shock they both felt was a bit more intense. They both let out a yelp and fell to the floor.

Sineade almost had to laugh if the situation wasn't so serious. "Well, it works!"

Flower purred, “Your turn.”

Sineade grabbed a spanner and flung it towards another pair of aggressive engineers. It was almost a repeat of the first pair, except for the moment one grabbed the other just as he grabbed the spanner... and that was all it needed to shock them both.

Flower purred again, “So how many do we have left?” She asked as she threw her spanner over her shoulder towards another pair.

"Nine more tools, but only three more pairs of fighters," Sineade said still absently rubbing her aching head.

Flower fetched the medical kit in engineering and scanned her friend, “Well two more pairs. My spanner just took out the pair behind us.”

Sineade let Flower run the medical scanner and carefully held out the tool kit, "Be my guest, every time I move my head hurts!"

“We haven’t thrown your wrench,” she curled her tail up.

Sineade nodded slightly and grabbed the wrench, "What direction do I toss it?"

Flower looked around, “well I see a pair to our left going at each other,” Flower grabbed the hypospray and adjusted it to deliver a mild pain killer.

Sineade felt the hypospray against her skin, but the pain killer seemed to have little effect on her headache, with a sigh she tossed her wrench towards where Flower indicated.

“I can’t give you anything stronger without talking to the doctor. Remember I am not a medical officer,” Flower watched as the wrench actually hit the head of one of the engineers.

Sineade smirked as she heard the wrench hit someone, "Well that's one way to get their attention!"

“I guess so. Well that leaves the pair near the warp core now.”

"Hammer time?"

“Hammer time!” Flower reached down for her hammer and nodded to Tinker to get hers ready to throw at the same time.

Sineade nodded and grabbed her hammer, "On three?"

Flower nodded again, “One...”

"two..."

“Three!” Flower flung her hammer over to the core, but calculated that it was a meter from the core.

Sineade tossed her hammer towards the last fighting pair, it landed short but slid along the floor, knocking into Flower's hammer and sending them both into the feet of the fighters.

Both of the engineer looked down and saw the hammers and reached down to grab them, they both shook for a few seconds as the shock hit and then plopped down on their sixes, dumbfoundedly staring at the tools in their hands.

“I think we have stopped all fighting here. Shall we retrieve our tools?”

Sineade nodded, "and please transport all the offenders to holding cells till whatever this is .... is over! I can't have anything damaged and their fighting is keeping me from doing my job."

Flower followed her over to the two near the core, “Surprised from the shock you got?”

Flower looked at Sineade, “Should we explain the reason?”

Sineade shook her head, "They should have already known. I warned them repeatedly not to touch either yours or my tools." She picked up her hammer and stepped back, "Send these two off to cool their heads in holding, if you could be so kind, Lieutenant."

Flower picked out up her hammer too, “My pleasure,” she commanded the computer to send the first pair into the holding cells with level 5 forcefields. “Meowing of that, Ensign Pyle had set up fields around his area and I didn’t know as I ran smack into one.”

"Ouch! That had to hurt!" Sineade said as she looked to her friend, "Are you alright? " She moved over to the next pair to retrieve her spanner, "Any idea what is going on?"

“I don’t have any idea!” Flower sent the next pair on their way to the brig.

Sineade stopped to check on the warp core fluctuations and mused aloud, "I wonder if it has to do with all this magnetic energy?"

Flower snapped her head to her friend, “What kind of energy?”

Sineade looked at Flower, "Apparently we've been experiencing some sort of magnetic energy bombardment, if you will. It's been messing with the warp core. So I would have to assume it could be affecting a lot of other things."

Flower went to get her spanner and to get the third pair to the brig, “Fights have started all over the ship!”

Sineade smirked, "Well, I'm glad it isn't just in here. But it had to be rough for you and Pyle."

“He was actually late for his shift today. He was watching a football game. Be expecting him later today with a toothbrush to clean your floors.” Flower purred again

Sineade laughed despite the pain in her head, "I'll make sure he does a really good job, then."

“Now where did that wrench get to?” Flower asked as her tail curled fast.

Sineade looked over to the left, "I think those two have your wrench."

“I wonder if they are still getting shocked from holding it? And yours should be near the stairs.” Flower went over to the first pair she tossed a took towards.

Sineade nodded and headed towards the last pair, "I guess if they didn't let go, the answer is yes."

Flower let out a meow of laughter, as the two still had a hold of her wrench.

Sineade got to the last pair and grabbed her wrench, "These two are ready for departure whenever you are ready to send them, Flower."

“I don’t know whether to break the first two up to get my tool back or not,” Flower joked.

Sineade shrugged, "While it would serve them right, if they knew what they were doing, I'm not sure it's right to make the continue to suffer."

Flower nodded and proceeded to break the two up to get her tool, “Ensigns let go!”

The two engineers stared up at her, not quite comprehending, still feeling the sting of the shock as they disappeared within the confines of a transport beam.

Flower walked over to Tinker, “I think they didn’t want to let go. Are you okay now?”

Sineade sat down and sighed, "Well, I think I'll have a nice bruise to the side of my face, the bump on the back of my head is growing, and I still have one heck of a headache to deal with, but all of that will have to wait. With so many engineers either in holding, or medical, or just missing in action somewhere else on the ship, I have to stay here and keep working."

“If I wasn’t needed elsewhere, I would stay with you and help.” Flower sent the last two on their journey.

"I know, Flower," Sineade smiled, "But you are definitely needed elsewhere if this sort of thing is happening all over the ship. Thanks for coming to my aide so quickly."

Flower purred, “What other Defender do you know so well that you would speed comm badge directly to them?”

Sineade chuckled, "You're the only one!"

“Purrxactly! Now get back to work,” Flower ascended the stairs and neared the door.

Sineade gave Flower a mock salute, "Yes, Ma'am! And be careful out there my friend!"

“Always!” Flower meowed as the doors closed.
