Mission: Refit and Restock

Teaya woke early and quietly went down to the kitchen to make coffee a breakfast for her and Dean. Afterwards they would need to call Mardel and tell her about the castle and them wanting to host a Halloween party.

Dean took a quick shower first before he came down to join her, giving her a quick kiss.

"Good morning love." Pouring coffee and serving up his omlet and toast. "When we finish we need to call Mardel. Time is short."

“Good morning,” sitting and not taking to long to eat. “I know. Hopefully she’s around to answer it though.”

Teaya finished her omlet and put the dishes in the sink. With a little to much excitement "come let's call Mardel."

There actually was a comm display there in the kitchen. Sometimes it just made it easier depending on what was going on. Dean moved over to it and encrypted the transmission and then called.

Teaya moved to Dean's side putting her arm around his waist. Outside of medical, no one had seen them together. With Mardel she would be the first even though she already knew.

Mardel was sitting in the library at the academy, staring out the window into the bay, watching the ships and shuttles and sleds moving around in their seemingly endless dance. Her mind was still trying to come to terms with everything she had been told. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned and looked at the cadet. “You have a call, Ma’am, there is a private viewing room over there.” Mardel nodded and stood, moving to the private room and sat down and turned on the view screen. “Connor, here.”

Dean waited, leaning a little into Teaya. Once the call went through and they could see Mardel he smiled. “Good morning.”

“It’s evening here, Dean. Where are you where it is morning?” She looked like hell but didn’t comment on it. It had been a long day and she could use some good news. She notice Teayana with Dean and smiled. “Teaya, I’m glad you have found a friend.” Knowing that she would understand.

"Yes, it seems I have." Smiling up at Dean. "Sorry to bother you, but we thought we could host a crew party here. We are uploading images to you. You should have them any moment."

La“You aren’t bothering me, Teaya. I could actually use the distraction. And are you talking about that castle that Dean owns? I think that would be perfect. There are a couple of stipulations I have. One is that Admiral Sylver wants it to as open as possible, so don’t encrypt anything about the party, but keep the guest list to crew and friends and family of crew only. Two is that many of us could use some relaxation, so rather than have the party catered, have it a cooking contest so that everyone can enjoy making the food as well as eating it. And lastly, Admiral Sylver has insisted that anything that isn’t made by us, go through her office to make sure it isn’t tampered with. So she will oversee everything except for those specific dishes that are part of the contest. Does that sound doable?” She actually started to look better with something else to think about.

He thought a moment, checking those off in his head. “I don’t see why not. Certain areas of course are going to be locked and don’t need to be wandered around to try and get into. Also there are a large number of guest rooms that can be used if necessary because say someone gets too drunk.”

Smiling brightly and starting to look more her normal green, Mardel nodded. “Then send out the invitation with the cooking contest rules and make those invitations as public as possible. I am sure that Starfleet Intelligence will have security all over that place before the day is over here and before noon there. I will look forward to it. Now I need to give Daniel a call in Paris and meet up with him. I will see you Halloween, Dean, Teaya.”

Teaya was excited. "I will send out a mass invitation as soon as we hang up. Thank you Mardel I can't wait to see you. I have missed you my friend." Giving her a warm smile. "See you soon and tell Daniel hello from us." She hugged Dean a little tighter.

“Thank you.” Nodding to Mardel, “We’ll see you soon.” Ending the transmission, and turning to face Teaya. “See, that wasn’t that hard.”

"No it wasn't, but she is very bothered. Makes me wonder what is going on." Laying her head against his chest. "Let's make this the best party ever."

“Everything that has been going on lately would be.” Rubbing her back lightly, “Yes, let’s do so.”
