Mission:
Refit and Restock
Location: Waterfall
After getting her pin she attached to her necklace, she went back to her apartment to wait for Dean. She went to her desk to sort through case files. After sitting a while she found she couldn't focus. "1533" Teaya muttered to herself. "This can't be good with him gone this long"
She had already cleaned their clothes, there wasn't much more to do than wait.
Obviously it was going to take a little bit for him to get there. He did actually bring that other full bottle of Irish Whiskey with him. He checked though before going up, then hit the chime.
Teaya checked her security cam before going to the door. With a sigh of relief she went to the door and opened it. "I'm glad to see you, is everything okay? You were gone for quite a while."
“Yeah. I know.” Closing the door behind them and securing it. “Brass and all. Look what I have.” Holding up the bottle.
Teaya nodded and smiled as he showed the bottle of Irish whiskey. "Admiral Sylver was with you and Mardel? This can't be good." Walking further into her apartment. "Are you hungry?"
Dean shook his head a bit, “Not really to be honest. I also need to fill you in on the situation. Not everyone is going to get to know. This is a do not tell, even if we weren’t working on a relationship, you would have been one of our trusted with this.” Moving to sit her down while he explained what he could.
When he finished she leaned in to his side and let out a sigh. Worry crept into her subconscious and sat there like a lead weight. Why was this happening? Why now? They had just bonded over the past few days. Faster and deeper than she could have imagined. Surely there would not be much of anything to this surely... the gods had brought them together to be happy. Letting out a heavier sigh this time.
"So we are staying here for the duration till the ship is ready then and we have the all clear and no more assassin threats?"
He shook his head and curled his arms around her. “We can go back to our shore leave any time we want to. You wanted to go to the swimming hole.”
"Is it safe to go back?"
“Yeah, we can go back any time. We still have what is left of our leave.” Giving a thoughtful look, “Unless you just want to stay here now.”
"As long as it's just you and I, with no one else around, I don't care. Us finding each other right now could not have come at a better time. But the outside circumstances really stink.
I have enjoyed this time of getting to know each other better." She gave him a shy smile. Oh this man, what has he done to her. Turning her to complete mush.
“That was kind of the point after all,” Dean turned his head to kiss the top of hers. “Its up to you and what you feel more comfortable with. I’ll be right here regardless.” He was trying to do the..thing. Cause, he wanted this to work with them. Then all this other mess, making him have to split his focus. Dean could push it away for now, for the most part. Just them, and what they wanted.
She could feel his shifting emotions. As much as she wanted to go back the risk was less if they stayed here.
"Let's stay here. We can go to the market and pick up whatever we need and lock ourselves back in our little bubble. I'm okay with that. Like I said, as long as we're together." She had reached up and was caressing his cheek.
There was a bit of a curious look at her, turning his head to kiss her palm. “Did you just say….we lock ourselves back into our little bubble?” Trying not to laugh.
"I did." Blushing a soft pink. "I like it just being you and I. We won't have this when we have to go back to the ship." Looking at him wistfully. "Let's not talk about all the work right now, let's get back to where we left off."
“Well I like being with you also, Teaya. Otherwise I wouldn't be here, or have come back. I would have focused on nothing else but these assholes that are attacking us.”
"Oh." Was all she could manage at the moment. Her full lips pressed to a flat line for a moment. Maybe she said more than she should have. Maybe he had not fallen down the rabbit hole the way she had. Taking a deep breath she reigned her thoughts back in. Whatever this is it would be. If things changed once back in duty then so be it. They were both adults. She shook it off and let it go.
“Shall we just go ahead and go back ‘home?’ You want to. I rather enjoyed being there with you, Teayana. I’d like to think of it as our place.”
Her mouth popped open then shut as quickly as it opened. "I… um yes if you're sure." Her inner goddess jumped in the air doing cheers then stuck her tongue out at Teaya for probably over thinking it.
"It shouldn't take me long to pack and your things are washed and back in your pack in the bedroom." She took his face in her hands and planted a sound kiss to his oh so sexy mouth.
He apparently didn’t have that kind of...well...whatever she did. Goddess or the like. Which was fine, their faith was different. It could be. “I am positive.” Smiling, and not telling her she didn’t have to pack his stuff. She was going to anyway. Cupping her cheeks as well and leaning into the kiss she indulged him with and wanted to give.
After breaking their kiss she leaned into him and hugged him a moment. "Thank you." Said softly then she stepped back and turned towards the bedroom to start packing her clothes.
Dean rubbed her back a little for a moment before she moved from him. “You’re welcome.” Not much he could really do right now that he knew of.
Grabbing her pack off the closet floor, she began pulling out clothes and putting them in her pack. "Dean we have all the food here from the cabin, I think we should pack it back in with us rather than trusting an outside source at the moment." Carrying both their packs and deposited them by the front door.
There was a tilt of his head a little bit, “I suppose we should. I can carry most of those. All we have to do is get a site to site transport and one for the supplies.”
"The computer over there will give you access to main control for them to do site to site. Do we need anything else in way of security measures?" The food was packed quickly into a crate.
“Weapons?” Dean gave a shrug and moved over to the computer and started inputting on the console.
"Well the phasers are already in our packs. Will we need more than that?" She moved to the closet in the hall and pressed a code into a hidden panel and it popped open. "Come look and see if there is anything else in here you want to take." There was a variety of ammo for the weapons in the wall locker. Pistols, assault rifles and small explosives.
Dean moved over and gave a few looks, “Exactly why do you have all this?”
With a non-chalant shrug. "Hobby?"
“I’m not entirely sure that constitutes a hobby?” Did grab two of the phaser rifles though. Didn’t figure they would need the explosives, though he could set up some pretty badass booby traps.
"Shooting and collecting are a hobby. Sorry to disagree. Definition of hobby is an act one does in their leisure time. So.. yes, it's a hobby."
Once he grabbed the rifles,Teaya grabbed easy to conceal phaser and knife before locking back up. "Are we ready?"
“I’m messing with you.” Smirking a bit and turning to join her. “It looks like it, yes.”
Remotely resetting security on the cabin for them to be ported inside took but a moment and they were back. A sweet sigh of relief. " Supper in and stay in for the night or pack some food for a swim and eat there?"
“We are suppose to enjoy the rest of leave. So you wanted to swim, let’s go with that.”
"Okay" Smiling at him she turned and set about unpacking the food and packed an al a carte meal for them to enjoy after their swim. Then she grabbed up her pack taking to her room and fishing out her bathing suit. She started to change and decided to close the door before stripping down.
He brought one, but hadn’t really figured they were going to need them. They were going to be alone after all but, he could go ahead and change into it for now at least.
Pulling a t-shirt on and slipping shoes back on she stepped out of the bedroom. "I'm ready when you are."
Dean didn’t bother with a shirt. There wasn’t any real need for that. “I’m good to go.” Moving over to pick up the food pack. “Lead the way.”
Teaya led Dean through the field towards a stream that had a waterfall that came off the mountain that fed into the stream the fed into the river they kayaked in on the first time.
Kicking off her shoes and pulling off her shirt. "Last one in" she said laughing and ran to the bank jumping in.
He knew she already knew that was a no win scenario. Mostly, since he had to put the food down and wasn’t ready for her to have done that. Thus she won. Diving in and looking around under a moment before coming to the surface.
Wiping away the water from her face and smoothing her hair back. "This is much better. I definitely needed this." She made a few strokes across the water towards Dean. "I guess I should have asked if you even like to swim. Thank you if you don't for doing this for me."
“I love to swim actually,” smiling to her. To bad he’d not had time to have gotten a good look at what kind of bathing suit she had on. “I haven’t done it enough in past years.”
"Well, maybe we can remedy that." She splashed him then dove under the water swimming towards the waterfall.
Dean waited for her to come back up, “How do you plan on that!” Calling over the sound of the waterfall.
She smiled coyly as she raised her hand and motioned for him with her finger to come to her. Standing up in front of the falls, the water was up to her shoulders so she knew he still had not really seen her swim suit.
There was a bit of a push off and shortly joining her over there.
"We can recreate this in the holo deck and whenever we have leave we can always come here, that is… That is if you want to." She fidgeted a little, looking down at the water then back up at Dean.
He just had to leave her hanging for at least just a moment. As if he was having to give it real thought. Taking her hands, “Of course we can.”
Teaya released her breath, which she had not realized she was holding. Seeing the slight grin on his face. " Do you enjoy tormenting me?"
“Hmmm…..perhaps actually. Only because I think you like it actually.” Letting go of her hands and pulling her close.
To a small degree she did like his sarcasm and teasing but when it came to them as a couple she sometimes didn't know how to take it. Her logical counselor mind said oh this is just boy meets girl foreplay of getting to know one another. She had not intended for this to be more than it was, but here it was and she was totally lost in him.
Teaya put her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his waist. "Sometimes" she replied softly.
He only did it for a reason, perhaps it was an unconscious defense mechanism. Maybe it was testing her? They’d figure it out. Right now, however, this wasn’t supposed to be stressful. Cupping his hands to hold her up when she did that. “Well..then only sometimes I will do it, how about that.”
Nodding slowly she tilted her head to move in for a kiss.
That was going to be his move, but it didn’t particularly matter who did. Keeping the lip long there and sliding his tongue past hers.
She moaned softly onto his mouth as they kissed. She buried her fingers in his hair and tightening her legs around his waist. Oh what this man did to her.
The both of them had a pretty good idea where this was going, not that he was going to complain. Besides, if he didn’t think there was going to be more to this than just fun sex sometimes or just for Shore Leave, he wouldn’t have pursued to start with.
Teayana broke the kiss. Both of them panting. "I need you." And she wiggled her hips a little. And she could tell he did as well. There was no hiding that.
It was a lot harder, no pun intended, for him to be able to hide it. “So do I.” There was an easy fix for that just the position that they are in currently and without much in the way of effort and not removing the bathing suits.
Once they finished Teaya collapsed against his body. "Dean" said breathlessly
Dean held her close and his chest pushed against hers catching his breath. “Yes, darling?”
Aside from catching her breath, she needed to know but was almost afraid to ask. This man confounded her, how did he possess her heart so quickly… was she making mistake. "You have stolen my heart. Am I wrong in how I feel, do you feel the same?"
He had no idea how, he was just himself, always has been. Perhaps that it was, he wasn’t fake. Or..something else maybe she saw deep down that he hadn’t. This time the pause wasn’t to tease her. Looking deep into her eyes, he was just trying to think of how to word it was all. “No, you’re not wrong in how you feel, Teayana. I wouldn’t have pursued if I didn’t see anything in this, for both of us. Yes, I feel the same.”
Looking deep in his eyes and the depth of emotion she felt from him she knew his heart was hers. Teaya gave him a tender kiss before laying her head on his shoulder almost burying her face into his neck. "I never thought I would be here again. My heart belonging to someone else again."
“Neither did I, not after..” giving a sigh. Turning his head to kiss the top of her head after the returned kiss to her lips. She still didn’t actually know what happened, just the mention of the loss. They’d get to that sometime. Now, wasn’t it, no spoiling the mood.
"Are you hungry?" She murmured as she raised her head to level her gaze to look in his handsome face.
“A bit, yes. I also don’t want to move.” For one reason and the other reason was a little more...vulgar.
With a devilish grin Teaya wiggled her hips slightly and dropped light kisses across his shoulder. "Would this be a reason you don't want to move?" And looked at him sheepishly.
“I don’t know, would it? And should that be affecting you more than me?” He could be just as evil as she could by moving.
"Mmm… I find it quite delectable." She purred as she planted kisses from his ear along his jawline towards his mouth.
Evidently it was, or should be her and being more sensitive right now. Smiling from the attention of her lips. Turning his head once she got to his jaw to catch them.
Round two lasted considerably longer. Her breathing was ragged and she was completely wrung out when they finished.
Now they really should stop, at least for the time being. Take a break, get some food. “Do you need help getting back over to shore?”
Begrudgingly she moved. "No, I can get back fine thank you." She swam back to the shore grabbing a towel from the pack and tossing one to Dean as he climbed out. Once partially dried she spread her towel on the ground, sat and began pulling out their food.
Following over and drying off. Watching her thoughtfully a moment, “Really? Tsk..Obviously I need to work harder since your legs aren’t jello.” Putting the other towel down next to hers.
"Says you" she laughed. "But the thought of you working harder sounds quite promising." Setting a plate of antipasto fixings before him and handing him a cold beer.
“Okay that was just terrible and absolutely sexy.” He gave a grin and took the beer. Just a sip for the moment. Looking at what was there for the food.
Teayana couldn't help but laugh. She took a drink of her beer before rolling a piece of salami around some mozzarella.
That certainly would work for him. The food that is. Picking at some. “I’m glad we took this, even though I am sure we both thought it a big risk.”
"I am as well. We could have played it safe at my apartment but I'm more comfortable here. I was willing to stay there to make it easier and less stressful on you." She took another drink of her beer before continuing. “I know you have enough to worry about. How was Mardel when you saw her?"
She picked up an olive that was stuffed with pancetta and mozzarella and sucked out the stuffing.
He gave a bit of a shake to his head, “Actually, that’s not what I meant as a risk.” Letting her think about it. “She was okay. Same as before with dealing with this as well as what she personally has on her plate.”
Rarely did she miss a que but this time she was clueless and her expression gave it away. "If the treat to your life is not what you mean then I'm at a loss"
“I meant you and I taking this risk, with our hearts, not coming here even if we’re being hunted.” That about Mardel, obviously Teaya didn’t read Miss Lonely Hearts or would know all about it.
"Dean?" Swallowing hard almost worried he was going to say it was it was a mistake. But how could he… he just told her he wanted to be with her. Isn't that what he just said. "I'm not following." She almost choked on the the last word as it left her mouth.
“I said risk. That I’m glad we took it, meaning with our hearts, our feelings. Having those signs that our previous ones approved. Not the risk of coming here knowing we’re being hunted.”
"Oh" an internal sigh of relief. Teaya began tracing small circles on her thigh. "I'm glad we did also." Not looking at him. "I know it's not quite been a week, but I'm not sure I could imagine a day without you in my life." She swallowed hard briefly looked up from beneath her thick dark lashes. "I think I'm in love with you."
Dean wasn’t exactly sure how he wanted to feel about that. Just with her starting with the ‘without you in my life’ part. Now the in love with. It hadn’t been that long, not really. He really wanted to, also it was getting there, but this soon. For himself, he wasn’t sure he was there yet. Dean also was not going to lie to her and just say it to let her hear it. “I’m glad, and you have no idea how much that makes me feel. I can’t admit the same quite like that, not yet. I refuse to lie to you about it. Honesty is something we need to have.”
"I didn't expect you to. But we need the honesty I agree. However I'm sorry if I've made you uncomfortable." She packed up he plate and empty bottle. Leaning behind her she grabbed her t-shirt and pulled it over her head. "Are you ready to head back?"
He reached for her hand before she could move and do all of that. “Stop, please. I never said or implied that you made me uncomfortable. I just wanted you to know. I am falling in love with you, Teayana.”
"Dean you don't have to say that. You just said you weren't ready and that's okay. I'm not even sure why I said anything. It is to soon but we agree we both should be honest. So if you're not there yet it's okay." She sighed heavily. "I'm almost sorry I even said it."
He gave her not...an annoyed look persay, it was more. Maybe..disappointment. That she’d think that of him. “I do have to say that, but why would you do that? Act that hurt and regress from what we both agree we feel. Just because mine isn’t that strong yet, I wasn’t lying to you or giving you word vomit.”
She pulled her hand from his. "I'm sorry, I have ruined the evening. I have allowed my heart to speak regardless of what my head said. Standing she picked up her towel and her shoes. "I'm sorry." She turned and headed back towards the cabin. After turning a couple of years slide down her cheek. Between the frustration and the embarrassment, she wasn't sure of anything. This man had her turned inside out and she wasn't even sure which way was up.
Well that was lovely. Pouring out his heart, what she needed to know instead of just telling her what she wanted to hear and this? He wasn’t going to go after her right now. He would come back, he would talk to her. Perhaps, at least she did. Or they both did. Not anything like an hour, roughly..ten minutes or so. That would either backfire or not. She taking that he didn’t run right after her hurt more, or if he did would be worse.
The evening air was cooling down. When she got back she headed to her room for her night clothes. They would talk. She would apologize again, but now she needed a shower, but first she would start a fire.
