Refit and Restock
Location: Earth
Dean was the one to be up first, about 4am. Already having taken a shower, gotten dressed and started coffee.
Teaya stretched as she woke up. Looking at her chrono she jumped out of bed, grabbed her clothes to get a quick shower. Then it hit her… she smelled coffee. She walked to the kitchen. "Good morning."
He glanced over his shoulder and gave her a smile, “Good morning. You looked so peaceful sleeping I thought I would let you sleep a little longer.”
"Thank you, that was sweet of you however if we don't hurry we will miss the sunrise. I'll grab a quick shower and pack breakfast up then we'll be ready." Five minutes in the shower and then dressed Teaya emerged from the shower.
"Dean, hanging in the closet in my room are two packs. Will you get them please?" She set about making their food.
“I was actually going to make up the breakfast packs, but that’s fine.” Moving to get two thermo’s and fill them with the coffee. Hearing about the packs he went in there to find them. Giving a shuffle through and grabbing them out. Coming back to join her.
Finishing up the second pack when he came back. It helped getting them done quickly because part of breakfast was prepped when she was getting things ready for dinner last night and the fact that she had ordered fresh fruits and vegetables when she ordered the catered dinner.
"Perfect" she smiled "can you pack one of the packs while I finish this one?"
There was a glance given over her a moment and then nodded. “Yup, sure.” Moving to open the pack and start packing it all organized and all. “How long is it up there?”
"Oh, hmm it's roughly a hour and a half hike to the top of Eylers." Teaya slid the packages over to him to put the other pack. "I forgot one thing, I'll be right back." She disappeared into the bedroom and she grabbed a thin, insulated blanket; refolding then rolling for it th attack to the back of her pack. "Ready?"smiling brightly.
By the time she got back everything was set up in the packs. Just waiting on her to be ready. “Yes, I am. Good and ready to go.”
They headed out and made the hike to the peak of Eylers. The light was already appearing when they had reached the top. Finding a spot to set up their blanket and wait for the sun to show itself. Walking a little closer to the edge Teaya found a spot she liked. "Here okay with you?"
There were a few pauses he made on the way up there to look at this or that, but it didn’t impede their time getting there. Moving over and giving a look at the spot and the angle. “That looks perfect to me.”
Teaya spread the blanket then turned back to the view that stretched along the valley below them. " I will never tire of this. Beautiful isn't it?" Said softly as she gave a quick glance over her shoulder to him then back to the scene before her.
“Yes, it is.” Giving her a smile. Moving up to her and slipping an arm around her waist. Just looking it over in silence to appreciate the sight.
"Right on time" was all she said as the sun began to rise a few moments later. "Breath taking."
“Indeed.” There were looks back and forth between her and the view. Still not having removed his arm from around her either.
"Definitely worth the 4am wake up. Ready for some coffee?" Rubbing her hands together to create a little heat.
“Yes.” Getting out the two thermo’s that he’d packed and filled earlier. Handing one to her.
Blowing gently across the top and taking a sip. "Ooo that's quite hot." Gingerly running her tongue over the heated spot on her lip for the cool morning air to assist in cooling it quicker.
“That is kind of the purpose of them.” Smirking lightly and taking a couple of sips from what he poured into his cap cup.
Teaya just looked at him and rolled her eyes. "Let's grab a bite to eat Mr.Comedian."
“What? My jokes are fine. I think you just don’t have a sense of humor. We’ll have to work on that.” Giving her a bit of another smirk. “What did you put for us?” Turning to where the packs were and sitting down on the blanket.
"Fresh pineapple, melon and apple along with some yogurt and granola. If that doesn't suit you, there's a couple of bacon sandwiches" pulling a spoon out she dumped the granola into her yogurt and mixed it up and took a bite.
“I think the apple and sandwiches will do just fine. Thank you,” kissing her cheek. Eating a bit here and there back and forth between them.
Finishing up her food she packed her things back in the pack and setting it off to the side and picking up her coffee to finish it.
He changed his mind, if she had anything left he’d go ahead and eat that also. No need to waste it after all. Opting for the water that was packed instead of more coffee. “Thank you for bringing me here with you.”
"Mmm you're very welcome." The sun almost above Eylers peak the sun's warmth filling her and the contentment of the moment filling her spirit. "Dean, what made you decide to come spend the week with me?"
“The simple answer? I wanted to and I’m tired of being alone. Seeing all these other people on the ship getting together. Being happy. I felt a connection with you, kindred spirits. It felt right.” A pause, “Okay, that wasn’t quite the simple answer I was going for.”
She blushed slightly at his answer. "So giving someone you like ghost peppers is your way of saying I like you?" She gave a small laugh. She sat with her legs drawn up in front of her and her arms around her legs.
“Evidently it is now.” Chuckling slightly. Watching her. “So why did you agree and invite me?”
"One you goaded me into taking a bite and for why I asked you to come, I told you last night. It just came out and when it did it felt like the right thing to do. Am I to regret that?"
“Of course you shouldn’t regret that.”
"Any idea of what else you would like to do today? It's early yet and we have the whole day ahead of us." She laid on her side with her head propped in her hand.
“Well we did discuss fishing as well after all.” Smiling to her.
"Okay sounds like a plan. Cooked over an open fire for dinner sound good?" She sat up. "If we are going to catch dinner I suppose we should start our way down." Giving a soft sight, she stood up. Reaching out to give him a hand up, even though she knew he didn't need her help.
“You mean you don’t just catch them and bite the fish heads off?” Making the imaginary motion of doing so. Reaching to take her hand to stand and purposely ‘pulling’ her close to him. “Oops...sorry.”
Giving a small laugh and lightly pinching at his belly. "I highly doubt you're sorry sir and as for biting the head off, if that's your cup of tea you go right ahead. As for me I think I prefer my trout cooked." Looking up at him with a smile on her face and her hands on his waist.
His hands rested on her forearms lightly. “What if it was an accident?” Giving a look down at her with the tilt of his head. This was certainly becoming more interesting moment after moment since they got to the cabin.
Teaya tilted her head with questioning written on her face. "Accident? I don't understand Dean."
“Pulling you this close.”
"Oh." Her face turned up to his "Somehow I don't think much of what you do is accidental.
“Is that so then?” Dean moved his hands to her hips instead of keeping them on her forearms. Looking a bit more deeper into her eyes.
"Mhm I think so."
“Really. Then what else would you expect there to be done that I would try to play something else off as an accident right now?” Pursing his lips a little bit.
"I have no idea."
Dean raised an eyebrow, “Not a single thing you can think of?”
"No I can't but since you intend to painfully draw this out, I do wish you would just put us both out of our misery or at least me and tell me what you're talking about."
Both eyebrows came together. He actually was trying to get her move first, but obviously that wasn’t working. That meant he obviously would have to. Considering they were still standing there on the fluff, the sun had still just come up, the scene was pretty perfect. Leaning the rest of the way and pressing his lips to hers.
The warmth of the sun and the heat from his kiss she definitely knew which one made her a little weak in the knees. She reached a hand up and caressed his cheek as he kissed her. This in her mind was definitely no accident.
It really wasn’t, and she already knew a good amount about him. Even the teasing. Was it just cover, leading up to getting to this point? Doing it for his own benefit to build up for himself to do it. Either way, that didn’t particularly matter right now. Moving his hands from her hips and fully around her. Bleeding emotion into the kiss and embrace.
A soft moan escaped her lips as his hold deepened along with his kiss. Internally melting inside as the heat from his kiss woke the small ember that had lain dormant in her core.
This was only okay to him because he’d not touched a woman like this, much less this intimately since his wife died. Which he also knew she would want him to find that right one and would give her blessing. Knowing this because there was just a little shift of the light through the clouds that shined right on them. Just feeling that there was much more feeling delivered into the kiss with meaning.
Teaya melted into Dean's body feeling the heat radiate. Between the kiss and his hold on her nothing else in the world mattered. Her fiance had died 12 years ago and she never got close again to anyone. There was the occasional date over the years but no one had touched the very strings of her soul until now and this kiss was almost enough to unravel her.
They obviously have that in common then, not only in their own personal histories but the feeling radiating between them. Though one of them was going to need to come up for air. If at least just for a moment, so he did it. Breaking the kiss and opening his eyes, resting his forehead against hers. Just at an angle he could still look into her eyes once she opened hers.
Her heart racing and her breathing a little erratic. "Accident?" She said between breaths looking up at him.
He shook his head, heart probably just as rapid as her own. “Definitely not an accident this time.” Taking a long breath. Holding it, then letting it out. Saying very well under his breath, nearly inaudible. “Thank you, love.” Reaching the back of a finger to wipe under one eye.
"Dean?" Teaya said tenderly.
“Yes, Teayana?” Using her full name expressly on purpose.
"Are you okay?" She caressed his cheek tenderly with her thumb. She tilted her head a little to get a better look at his face.
“Well..yes, why?” Leaning into her hand a little bit.
"Okay" was all she said. If he had more to say she had hoped he knew he could talk to her. But for now she would just trust him and she stepped back into their comfort spot and decided she would enjoy the moment and oh what a moment. The day couldn't have been more perfect as it was right now.
“Yes, I’m fine. I was thanking Chloe for leading me to you.” He tilted his head to the side a little and upwards so she could see the ray shining down oddly specific on the both of them. “She likes you and told me it was okay. That I have her blessing to fully move on.”
Teaya gave Dean a tender smile. Placing a few soft kisses to his jawline stopping at his chin then tiptoeing up to kiss him tenderly then stepping back. "That's my thank you to you."
The quick kiss was returned before she stepped back, though a slight look of confusion and curiosity. “A thank you to me? For what.”
"For telling me. I hope you know you can always talk to me. I know it's not easy to move on from a love so deep you don't feel you could ever have that happiness again."
Dean gave a glance down a moment and took her hands. Cupping them together, bringing them up to his lips, kissing them. “I know I can, and I got my sign. It’s you, Taeyana. Just you now.” He knew that Teaya knew that Chloe would always be there in his heart somewhere. Just as he knew that her fiancé would always be in hers.
"So" she began with a blush… "is this the beginning of us?"
There was that eyebrow again, “I would think it would be, yes.”
At that moment for some reason her heart skipped a beat and there were those butterflies in her stomach. She had not felt those in so long. She grabbed his face and kissed him with as much passion as she could put into it. Yes, this was what her heart was missing.
Dean was about to say something else, but was cut off. Which he was not going to complain about. Bleeding into the kiss she just gave him first instead of him doing it. Whether they did anything more than that, he did pull her down with him. On top of him onto the blanket. Not breaking the kiss or embrace.
Teaya pulled back for just a moment to take a breath. She buried her face in his neck dropping tender kisses working her way back to his mouth.
She was held against him when she did, once she lifted her head again he eased up just slightly. This time not just the passionate lip play but pushing his tongue past her lips to dance with hers.
A moan of passion passed between them as they kissed. They were the only ones in the world at this moment and that was all that mattered.
The coal he had sparked in her belly early was quickly becoming a flame that would soon engulf her. How had this happened so quickly. Maybe there was not just Chloe but maybe Matt as well.
There was a moment there, he wanted to just hold her against him. Just really hold her. Not like last night, that wasn’t even testing waters. That was just...well, something. This time it was much much more. Something obviously was just building up to this moment, and now it was there.
Teaya broke the kiss. Both of them breathing heavily. Were either of them ready to go further. Her body feeling deprived for so long said yes but she also did not want him thinking the first moment things got hot she would jump in the deep end. But when was the right moment? Mentally she started beating herself up for emotionally forgetting something so important. Or was it. It would just happen right? She let out a heavy sigh.
Dean was starting to feel a bit of the same, which, Teaya probably would be able to feel it as well. More than one way. That was the question however, was it. Now? Just right. It did feel it to him deep down, not just in his loins. It was everything else. Running one hand along her for to the hem of her shirt. Testing. Making sure his eyes never unlocked from hers.
Looking deeply into his eyes she let him know it was okay. Nothing had to be said. Not between two people who belonged together. Most times nothing had to be said that a look when you knew someone's spirit could not be said with a look.
Nothing did have to be said did it. It really didn’t. A motion, a look, even just the sound of a heart beat or a breath. Though, going with that, Dean moved his hand away. Instead, the move would be mutual. Taking one of hers and holding it as he put them both at the hem of the shirt. If she moved it away, then not yet. If she started it up, that was the sign.
They both were ready, they both wanted to take their next step. She would give him what they both wanted and she began raising her shirt. Soon it was over her head and on the ground beside them.
Certainly answered that question for the both of them. Dean did take a moment to take that new view in. Even if he wasn’t into her or falling for her, absolutely no damn complaints there. He would do in kind, though she’d already seen him manage to get his shirt off before. [Galaxy Quest joke] Same thing she saw before, including all the scars. This time however, he took her hand and pressed it over his heart so she could feel it. The breaths taken, each beat, the ‘image’ he was trying to paint of how he felt.
Feeling his heartbeat beneath her hand. Her eyes locked on his. She knew. If anyone had seen them it was obvious they were lovers and their hearts belonged to one another there was no mistake in that.
She broke eye contact and moved her hand and replaced it with a kiss and held it there for a moment. Shifting slightly back where she was moments before. As the kisses found there way trailing up his chest, neck back to his very passion filled mouth.
There was the pleasure, of course in that way of her touch, but also what she was putting forth more emotionally into it. Which was more than reciprocated. That included the feeling they should and wanted to stop beating around the bush. This time it was just on. The next time, they could certainly take it slower and more exploring each other. Reaching to snap open the clasp of her bra.
Teaya made enough of an arch in between them to unfasten her pants and his.
Dispatching the rest of their clothing. They behaved like two people half starved at a feast table.
How events turned so quickly. They had always worked well together, but before now she would not have ever dreamed she would be here with him now.
There was most certainly that, in about every way. No argument there. For all practical purposes, it probably seemed like their first time again as long as its been. Or at least it was for him. That made it, her, even more special.
Laying together in the aftermath of their heated passion both breathing heavy as they lay in each other's arms. "Mmm, once we hike back down, maybe a morning nap may be in order." She giggled a little. "Actually I was thinking about maybe a picnic lunch by the stream. What are you interested in doing?"
His fingers lightly rubbed along her bare back, switching in between the tips and his hand hunched so the nails would lightly do so. “That is such a loaded question at this point,” grinning. “We do still have the day, I might chop some wood while you nap or something else you might need, then that would be nice for lunch and after we could still go fishing.”
Yes, a very loaded question indeed.
Giving him a chaste kiss after she sat up."The day will be gone if we don't get moving." Grabbing her clothes up and untangled her pant legs from his.
"Well?" She began to blush a soft pink under his stare.
“Yes, I suppose we should,” helping her with that. Also going ahead to get dressed. Unfortunately, so was she. Giving a little stretch.
They reached the cabin and the long brisk walk invigorated her. Stopping on occasion to look at the scenery they couldn't see well in the predawn light. Teaya pointed out spots of interest since this was Dean's first of what would hopefully be many trips to her get lost home.
One reaching the cabin she began emptying the packs and washing up the dishes that needed washing and putting away the leftover food.
He helped with putting the stuff in the packs away, turning to her. “I thought you were going to nap?”
Raising an eyebrow and feigning hurt. "Are you trying to get rid of me Mr. House?"
“Yes, of course that is what it is,” words dripping with sarcasm.
"Actually I wanted to get our lunch pulled together while you cut wood. Would you like chicken salad sandwich or would you like blt?"
“If you’re going to go that route, would you mind an egg salad sandwich instead?” Moving over to her and giving her a light kiss.
"No, not at all." She said smiling up at him. Teaya kissed him again a little more deeply than she had intended.
Dean smiled into the kiss and pushed it a little more for a moment, then broke it. “Thank you. Where is the axe?”
A soft satisfied sigh she stepped back from him and leaned against the counter. "There's a wood box under your window. It should be there."
There was a little nod given, turning to go head out back and look to see where she had already started and went from there.
Lunch was ready, rods pulled down from the wall rack and a fresh picnic blanket. Teaya waited for Dean to finish cutting their wood for them to go on their afternoon excursion.
