Mission: Where No One Has Gone Before

Crew,

We are celebrating the Day of the Dead. It's a time to celebrate our loved ones who have passed on, eating their favorite foods and drinking their favorite drinks. We will be having Mexican Hot Chocolate, which is rich and creamy with a touch of cinnamon and chili peppers with a chocolate foam on top, it is sheer heaven. We will also be having mazipan skulls, decorated of course, for those who don't know marzipan is a sweetened almond paste that is to die for as a sweet treat. We will also have sugar cookies in the forms of skulls and skeletons, decorated with frosting with the best of designs. There will be several pinatas filled with treats, and if you are lucky enough, your deceased ancestors and friends might just come and visit you on this day. So be ready to party and celebrate. Savory foods will include Mexican rice, refried beans, tortillas, carne asada, salsas, tortilla chips, cheeses, crema, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, chili rellenos, tomalies, and other Latino dishes. No, Flower, there won't be any pumpkins.
