Mission:
Shake Down Mission
Location: XO's Quarters
Timeline: Backlog
Teaya pushed the cart NW brought to their quarters to Dean's side of the bed. Crawling up the bottom of the bed, then waking Dean with kisses peppered from his bare shoulder up his neck to his cheek. "Good morning my husband," said with a smile as she lay half across him.
There was a wide smile given when he opened his eyes. Curling his arms around her, “Good morning, my wife.”
Giving him a tender kiss "how did you sleep my darling?"
Returns the kiss softly and then a little deeper for a moment. Giving a little body stretch against her, “Good. How did you?”
"Mmm, very well thank you. Before you get frisky, we have breakfast and it's going to get cold." Jutting her chin in the direction of the cart. "NW, brought it along with some other gifts. You need to read the tags on each item. They're so lovely."
“Breakfast is good, considering we both need our strength.” He gave a grin, giving a look over to the cart. “Alright then.”
Teaya begrudgingly extricated herself from his arms and climbed off the bed to make each of them a plate and poured coffee. "Here you go darling." Handing him his plate realizing they needed napkins.
"I'll be right back." With that she vanished to the dining room then back again handing Dean his napkin before sitting on the side of the bed next to him.
Dean made sure to watch every move she made. Since it was definitely eye-candy. Taking the plate after scooting up a little more. They could have gone to the table, but this works as well. “Thank you.” Looking at what it was.
"My favorite I think is the crystal rose, but how could it not be. I just hope it doesn't have to be used very often." She took a drink of her coffee before continuing to eat.
What do you mean?” Giving a look from there for the moment. Starting to eat.
Teaya remove the crystal rose that was attached to the top of the basket with a green silk ribbon, with the calligraphed piece of vellum attached to the stem which read: "In every marriage there are times where it is difficult to find the right words. It is easiest to hurt who we most love. It is easiest to be most hurt by who we most love. It might be difficult some time to words to say "I am sorry" or "I forgive you"; "I need you" or "I am hurting". If this should happen, if you simply can not find these words, leave a rose at that spot which both of you have selected - for that rose than says what matters most of all and should overpower all other things and all other words. That rose says the words: "I still love you." The other should accept this rose for the words which can not be found, and remember the love and hope that you both share."
Teaya gingerly laid the rose on the cart. "I hope we never get angry at one another that we can never find the words to talk to one another to need this." Giving his cheek a soft lingering kiss.
The kiss was returned, of course. Smiling against her lips. “That was very sweet. I also hope we never get that way either and need it.”
Teaya had long finished her coffee and moved to her juice. "I'm stuffed" releasing a much satisfied soft sigh. "I'm going to grab a shower, join me?" Said with a coy smile.
Reaching over, Dean finished what she didn’t as far as food. “I figured that was the plan next.”
Pausing in the doorway of their bedroom and stopping to give a sexy pose "After last night and early this morning we need to freshen up." Then she slipped out of sight but not before dropping her robe.
Swinging his legs over, the smile growing as he watched her. Quickly moving to join her in the bathroom.
Unsure of what was steamier at the moment the shower or the lovemaking that ensued in the shower and spilled back into the bedroom. Soon nausea set in.Teaya held it in as she pushed Dean off her and ran to the bathroom. Leaned over losing her breakfast.
For Dean it was certainly the latter. Though that could be seen as typical. Quickly moving since he saw what was about to go on. Pushing up to follow her and pull her hair back to hold it out of the way. Rubbing her back gently.
Once done she moved to the sink to rinse her face and mouth before brushing her teeth. "I'm sorry babe " using a plush towel to wipe her face then pulling her hair into a messy bun. "I need some of Mardels fruit." Giving him an apologetic look.
“It’s alright Teayana.” Giving a glance into the main rooms. “I know where one is. I think it’s the last one we have though.”
"There's a small basket of them in the fridge, but one is all I need right now honey."
Flustered, Teaya grabbed her cotton bathrobe of the hook and sauntered to the bedroom throwing herself onto the bed and curling up. A week into her second trimester and like clockwork the emotional rollercoaster had begun. Hopefully the nausea would die down.
Dean went ahead and put a robe on as well for now. Following her and then passing by to go and find those in the fridge. This is a little strange in a manner, having a complete ‘house’ in the majority of the quarters on the ship now. Cutting one of them into wedges. Bringing it and some water back. Sitting down. “Here you go.”
Sitting up and eating the fruit, drinking a little of the water not wanting a repeat performance and to give the fruit time to work it's magic. His bride curled herself into his side. "Thank you."
“You’re welcome.” Curling her up a little more against him, running his fingers through her hair.
After snuggling and talking about the wedding and how perfect it was, her nausea had well subsided. "Honey, do you want to go out for a private trip to a holodeck? I have a surprise if you do."
Dean leaned up a little on his elbows, “Whatever you want to do. Oh? A surprise huh.”
"Perfect." Getting up from the couch, Teaya adjusted her robe. "I will pack us some food and you get us a couple of towels and dress comfortably." A chaste kiss and she was off to the kitchen.
“We’re not just going in robes?” Giving a sly little smirk after the kiss. Turning to do as asked.
She just grinned and went about her task ensuring she packed everything necessary. Grabbing her clothes and then pulling a small black metal case about 3x4cm she tucked it into the pocket of her shorts. She quickly dressed and realized her favorite shorts were already getting snug across her abdomen. Letting out a long, loud sigh. "I won't be wearing these after today."
Comes back over and packing the towels in with the other things. “Of course you will, baby.”
Teaya just looked at her husband blankly for a moment. "Not everyone goes back to the same size they were before they had a baby honey." Slipping on her shoes. "Ready?"
He knew better than to continue that part of the conversation, so just leaving it alone. Dean nodded to her, “Ready.” Slinging the bag over his shoulder and offering his hand. “Lead the way.”
Teaya took his offered hand and gave him a half smile. "I checked before we left, holodeck 2 is available. I think you will like where we're going. Exiting the lift they walked to holodeck 2.
"Close your eyes please." And she inserted the small chip she pulled from her pocket. "Run program 423 honeymoon. No cheating Dean House, keep your eyes completely shut."
There was a curious glance given to her a moment, both what she said to run and then to keep his eyes closed. “Um..alright.” Closing his eyes.
With his eyes shut she opened the door, led him in and took in the sight before her. It was perfect. "You can open" said with a bit of excitement.
Once he opened his eyes he gave a look around, turning a circle also.”The hot springs? This is perfect, and we didn’t even have to make the climb up this time.”
"No. If you remember some of it was difficult to navigate, not to mention loose rocks. Can't afford any falls, especially now." Their little bean was making itself more apparent in her body and being more careful and protective was her main goal now.
“Indeed, though we are on the holodeck now, so safeties.” Giving her a long kiss for a moment and then looking for the same spot as last time to put the towels down.
Happily accepting his lingering kiss, she followed him afterwards and set down the basket of food. "I have it set up so that in a few hours we can watch a sunset which we didn't have the opportunity to do before." Kicking off her shoes, the grass felt delicious beneath her bare feet and she wiggled her toes as she let out a cleansing sigh.
There was a slight smirk, not just about the not getting to see, but her and doing that with the grass. “Well, we were a little busy.”
Placing her hands on her hips and tilting her head a little. "My husband is that all you remember of our time together here?"
“There was some bonding, some explaining our feelings, realizing the merging of our hearts and soul.” Giving a pause, “And then some things that shouldn’t be spoken within young ones earshot. So..yeah.”
"I know that is what happened, but that wasn't what I asked you." Giving a playful push, she darted past him and jumped in the spring clothes and all.
“I thought I an..” tilting a little with the push. Since they were being playful, he did go in with his clothes on as well.
Giggling as she came up spitting water out. "Uh oh… where is he?" When she realized he wasn't on the bank she began turning in the water scanning it's surface for disturbances.
Wouldn’t she like to know, or maybe she’d feel him. Which she would, with him poking both of her sides while still under the water.
Grabbing his hands as she slipped under the water placing a kiss to his cheek. She then came back up for air pulling him up with her. Treading the water with her legs, "come over here where I can reach."
There was a grin on his lips once he popped back up to the surface. “Over there?” Pointing from here he was to where she was.
"No dear, I want you on the other side of the pond so we have to shout to hear one another and we can pretend to hold each other long distance." Sticking her tongue out then splashing water in his direction.
“Well in that case, I suppose I’ll have to ablige.” Wading over to her, “As well as get you out of those clothes.”
"My you catch on quickly." A soft blush and a small giggle was her only reply.
“Perhaps, sometimes. You know me.” Grinning a bit and toying with the hem of her shirt.
Smiling, she reached under the water sliding her fingers along the inside edge of his waist band till she found the magnetic snap on his pants. " This is a two way street you know." There was a definite tell tale sign in her voice and her eyes that she was burning with desire for her husband. Yes, she loved how that sounded to her.
“I figured it kind of was.” There was the same thing in his eyes, and he also loved how that sounded. Even just getting that again was beautiful. Wonderful. Playfully swatting her hand away so she could lift her arms as he pulled the shirt up and tossed it over his shoulder.
"Oh is that how it's going to be?" Her top gone, she let him have his way. She never minded him being in control. Only a few times did she have her way.
He gave a nod and eye’d her supple exposed parts, “Well yes, but now it’s your turn.”
With skill she had his shirt off and tossed up on the bank. Tracing lines over his chest then down the center to his waistband once again to undo his pants.
Looking up at him to make sure he was ready.
There was a nod given. Of course he was ready.
Quick breaths in and out as she lay on the ground after their intimacy, opening her eyes she realized the timer was winding down to sunset. Sitting up rather quickly,"Dean, it's almost dark. We haven't even eaten." She giggled," Well we did drink in each other's soul." A small satisfied smile on her face. "I guess it's going to be a sunset picnic. Come on, sit up;" as she swatted his bare bottom. "I know you're hungry."
Dean gave a bit of a stretch while they were laying there. “I wouldn’t say we haven’t eaten either.” Giving a big long grin as he sat up. “Maybe that was the plan all long, for the sunset.”
"Was it now? So once here it was your plan to keep me preoccupied till sunset to have our meal?" Grabbing one of the towels she wrapped it around herself then tossed the other to Dean. Teaya began setting the food out as it had been packed ala carte. Roast beef, cheeses, fruits, ham and for drinks she had tea and beer for him if he wanted it.
“Not really, but there’s no reason I couldn’t take credit for that part anyway.” Catching the towel. Leaning to give her a quick peck, while looking at what she was unpacking. “Looks good.” Since she brought it, why not go ahead and go with the beer.
They picked at their food and talked. Unable to eat any more she laid down and laid her head on his leg while he finished his food. "Who knew a person could be so satisfied and filled as if it would all spill over; mind, body and spirit." Looking at him with all the love she had for him.
“Evidently we do.” Smiling and finishing off what was left of the food. Reaching to run his fingers through her hair.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" She looked up at the programed night sky as it slowly changed.
Mentally savoring his gentle touch as his finger combed through her hair.
“Yes, you are.” He knew what she was talking about, and he wasn’t looking at it, just her.
Turning her head to look at him. "Appreciate it now. In a few months you may not think so."
Dean did stop a moment to look at the sunset with her in silence before she looked at him. Just to share the moment. Looking back down, “Why would you say that?” it wasn’t really a question of what she meant. He knew, but more asking why would she actually say that and imply his view of her would change.
"Once the hormones kick into overdrive life will be an emotional roller coaster. That is not quite so beautiful honey." Grabbing his free hand and placing a tender kiss to his palm.
“We’ll get through it, we always have.” Giving a nod and a smile to her.
It had gotten quite dark other than the stars and moon. "Are we ready to go home?"
“I suppose we probably should. We’ll just have to do our extended honeymoon after this mission. What we have had has been wonderful.”
"Mmmm yes, it has been." Piling their things back in the basket with his help. "Only way of retrieving half our clothing is ending the program."
“I don’t know..it could be interesting to see the looks we get just walking back to our quarters in towels.” Dean grinned a bit.
Looking at her husband, "Wouldn't it be interesting if I lost my towel in a corridor full of male crew members." He thought he was being funny and sassy so she gave it back to him.
“Of course I’d be interested. I love looking at you naked, and they’d just get an eyeful of what they can’t have and if they tried, I’d have to kill them.”
"End program" Teaya rolled her eyes. "You and your archaic, caveman mentality." She put her clothes on once the program ended.
Dean grabbed his and put them on as well, “Hey! What’s wrong with killing someone that tried to touch my naked wife?”
She turned on him. "You looking at me naked is one thing but the thought of being paraded as a piece of property is another and to want to kill a man for your vanity of parading is… Let's just go home."
“You clearly think less of me than you should, and I was pretty sure we were just teasing each other.” Shaking his head a bit, gathering up the rest of their things.
"Well, we were. But your remarks of killing someone for touching me because you thought it humourous for me to be naked and tempting someone who may not have control is just wrong."
“It was suppose to be flattering.”
Gently placing her hand on his cheek, "There are far better forms of flattery than that. Would it be chivalrous for you to guard my honor, of course. But that my darling husband is not chivalrous or flattering."
Dean leaned into her hand a moment, “I’m sorry. I took the teasing to far.”
"Let's just go home love."
His free hand was offered to her and nodded, “Yes, lets. Our home.”
On their way back small talk and a few laughs till they reached their quarters. "Shall we take a bath? If you don't want to join me that's fine."
There was that eyebrow raised, maybe he should patent that, “Why wouldn’t I want to join you?”
A soft shrug. "You still have duties to attend to. I don't have a schedule like you not to mention Mardel is on lite duty. You're still carrying the bulk of both duties yet." Putting their things away as she talked. "Hmm… seems maybe the nausea has ceased finally."
Dean put the stuff away that he was carrying. “I also have a duty to my wife.” Holding a finger up before she said anything, “You were going to say, so you’re just a duty, a job. You know better than that. Also what I meant, my love.” Smiling. “And good, you know you could have just gotten something for it from sickbay.” Heading to the bathroom to start drawing up the bath, with lavender bubbles.
"I have eaten Mardels fruit." As she followed him. "I'm just saying that it usually hits me a couple times a day. I haven't felt any nausea since this morning."
“Well I do know enough that it does that sometimes depending on the person. It just stops and doesn’t happen anymore the rest of the pregnancy. Since someone might have been reading books about it now.” Smiling to her. Also keeping an ear on the sound of the water level for the bathtub.
Running her brush through her hair before pulling it up for their bath. She then slipped out of her clothes taking a side glance at her profile in the mirror. Her left hand tenderly sliding over her abdomen. Their baby was growing and the ever so slight but noticeable pooch of her abdomen was proof. A warmth flooded her body, one she had never felt before. "You are loved" she whispered almost inaudibly.
“And I love it as well.” Slipping up behind her so she could lean back against him. Resting one hand on her belly. “Augmented hearing, remember,” kissing her shoulder.
Smiling softly. "It wasn't meant to be a secret, I'm not even sure why it came out that way. It just did. I still find it a bit odd the night I proposed to you."
“What do you mean?” Tilting his head enough so he could look at her.
"I was on birth control and it chose the night we agree to marry to fail. That either has to be the biggest coincidence in the universe or fate once again stepped in. Wouldn't you agree?" Taking his hand on her belly she guided him to the tub.
Giving a glance down he, enlaced their fingers and put both back on her belly. “I don’t know. I could be cocky and say the little guys just said screw that birth control, but I’m not going to. Even though I sort of just did. I want to go with that it is fate again, just like what brought us together.”
"You sure theirs room in this marriage for the four of us?" She gave a small giggle as she stepped into the tub.
Dean held her hand still to help her up into the tub. Stepping in after her and leaning back so she could then also lean back against his chest. “Four of us? What?”
His response made her laugh. "Yes love, the four of us. Me, our baby, you and your ego." More laughter followed.
“Oh my ego is it eh? So we have two babies.” Just giving her a bit of a look, “I mean well..it does need nurturing also after all apparently and according to the rest of the crew.”
"Honey, you can trust me when I say it does not need nurturing. It's large enough for most of the crews to have a piece if it were a cake." Her giggles subsided and she leaned back into him once more. "I'm going to miss our baths when we hit the last leg of our trials. Seems there won't be much time for sleep let alone our baths. Speaking of, do you have anything to do tomorrow? We only have two days before we have to prep for take off."
“Killian thinks she’s so cleaver, but she under estimates us. Not only that but I had Kara put a listening device on her ship. Remember that present that Mardel gave her, makes her invisible. That and the fact she can fly in space. I used that already to our advantage. We can hear everything they are doing.” Shaking his head as for her last question, “Tomorrow? No, I don’t have anything to do but pamper you.”
"Mmmm, another day of pampering. However, is a girl able to handle it?" Giving a small chuckle. "I do need to check to make sure I'm not needed, after that I'm all yours to pamper and spoil. Oh and I do have my 16 week check up before we start our games back up so I do need to do that as well. Come with me to my appointment so we can hear our little beans heartbeat and maybe see if it's a son or daughter." Teaya played with the bubbles in their bath as she spoke and her mental thoughts thinking of bubble baths with their baby when he or she was born.
“Well you are suppose to handle it and swoon and coo, I believe.” Giving a look at her a moment, “Of course I’m going to go with you.”
"Ha! When have you known me to "swoon" my husband?" Teaya gave him a small giggle. "I'm getting pruny, let's go things together for the nursery." Said with a bit of excitement. "I did have a little shopping spree for baby items before the wedding."
“Uh huh…” Giving her a look, “Oh did you now? So I have things to build do I?”
With a small smirk," isn't it your manly, husbandly, fatherly duty or something like that?” Giving him an innocent look as she stood then reached for her towel.
“Something like that, I believe.”
"I'm surprised you didn't notice the packages in the spare room. Before we get into that, I really think we NEED some moose tracks ice cream." Teaya walked to the bedroom to pull on her cotton shift.
“I did notice actually, love, but I wasn’t going to go nosing around without you.” Turning to her again after looking at the spare room. “What? What is moose tracks ice cream?”
"Really honey? We have had moose tracks. Are you getting senile in your old age?" She gave a small chuckle as she finished her side braid walking toward the replicator. Pushing the on-demand since she had it already programmed. "Your bowl sir." After Dean took his bowl she took hers and followed him into what would be the nursery. Sitting on the floor side by side against the wall talking between bites how they would decorate the nursery.
He shook his head, “I was just testing you.” Smiling a little bit. Taking the bowel and taking a bite while looking around, “Hmm..”
"What about a nature theme? Maybe something that resembles around our cabin?"
She thought on it as she took another bite.
“We could think about something like that, unless we think of something else before we start on it. Sure.”
" We knew the baby's gender, it would be much easier." Finishing up her ice cream. "I did buy some gender neutral clothing in a couple different sizes to ensure we were covered. I didn't want everything our baby had to be replicated." Getting up she grabbed a couple of rather large bags. Reaching in she pulled out two luxurious blankets and laid them across Dean's leg. "You can't get that from a replicator."
Dean picked them up and felt of them, “Oooo...those are nice.” Lifting one up against his cheek. “Hell I might steal one of them.” Folding it back up and setting it aside. Not that he should end up dripping the ice cream, but just in case. “You know we could always find out the sex.”
While the idea of not knowing was her first instinct, she wanted their baby to have the perfect and most fitting room and that is what made up her mind. "Are you sure you want to do that?" She was almost jumping out of her asking with anticipation.
“I don’t want to know yet, but if it would help you and you want to know, we can do it, love.”
Teaya leaned in and kissed him. "Thank you honey." She then began pulling out the sleepers, little hats, a few pair of hand kits, burping cloths, socks, little soft shoes. The last 6 items were gender specific clothing items. " I just couldn't help myself when it came to these and the rest in the bigger boxes are the crib, bassinet, a rocking chair, a dressing table, a small table and footstool to go with the rocker." With each item she pointed to the boxes.
He returned the kiss softly. “You know we don’t even have to go back to sickbay. We could just call. She knows what the sex is.” Finishing the ice cream and setting the bowl aside. Getting a look at everything. “Well I figured what the boxes were for and why I mentioned I have things to put together.”
Teaya gave him a sassy look and stuck her tongue out at him. "We have our appt. tomorrow we will find out then." Teaya packed everything back in the bags. There were a few other things but she would save those for when they started putting the room together. "What shall we build first? Or would you rather sleep on it. We do have an early day tomorrow and we have four months to work on this. The last month will be slow down and wishing our little one would hurry up and come." She smiled as she tenderly ran her hand over her now visible baby belly.
“There’s not much of a point in waiting, not really. Then it’s done. Probably the bassinet and the crib.”
"Crib and bassinet it is then. Let's open a box and see if there's any tools we need."
Dean got up and moved to the bigger box, “There better be. Should just need a hex wrench, included and all the screws and hindges and stuff that are suppose to be included.”
"Okay" Teaya got up to help Dean as he pulled out the parts for the crib. Do you need help with this or would you like me to start on something small?"
“You can help with whatever you want to, love.” Dean was just sorting the parts out and putting them in certain places so they were easier to find.
Her thought was divide and conquer. He was right, may as well get the furniture put together. This way she could take her time with the decorating. As she put together the small table, something came over her. She stopped in mid motion attaching the last leg.
She’d hear, here and then a sharp pop. That was him ignoring twisting the screws, bolts in with the tool and just doing it with the palm of his hand. It worked didn’t it. “What’s wrong, baby?”
"Hmm? Oh, nothing." She shifted her position on the floor and started to finish then stopped again. "The oddest thing just happened. It was almost as if I heard my alisi telling me the gender of our baby. Just very odd that's all." Teaya went back to finishing the table.
“Your what telling you?” Stopping what he was doing.
"My alisi, grandmother. I guess because I don't speak of them much. I did tell you once at the cabin. Alisi is grandmother and agiduda is grandfather, but I just called him duda." Smiled sweetly as she spoke of her grandparents then walked to the box with the footstool that matched the rocking chair.
Dean shook his head, “No, I don’t recall you mentioning them but that one time.”
The one time was the only time she talked about them when they were talking about her family and how she had inherited the cabin. "We were a bit of a whirlwind. I don't expect you to remember everything. Anyhow, we will find out tomorrow if she is right."
“I’m pretty sure that she is.”
"Probably, but for now I'm keeping this little secret to myself" giving him a sweet smile. They finished all the furniture. As Teaya sat in the completed rocker to test it out, it was quite comfortable. "It's comfortable and the best part is you built it and it didn't fall apart" said giggling.
“Oh….it didn’t fall apart...I see how much you have faith in my ability.” Though he was smiling.
Teaya got up from her seat giggling at her husband. "It's late, let's go to bed." She swatted his bottom as she walked past him. "Don't forget the bowls honey." She said as she continued walking towards their bedroom.
“I’ve got them,” moving to put those up in the sink and the washer before joining her.
After washing her face and brushing her teeth Teaya laid on her side of the bed, more to the middle waiting for Dean to join her.
He did the same thing first and then joined her. “Hello there.”
Snuggling into his side, laying her head on his shoulder, left hand resting on his chest. "Mmmm, one of my favorite places to be." Planting a tender kiss to his chest. "I love you" said through a small yawn.
“One of my favorite places to be and you to be.” Smiling and running his nails very lightly along her back. “I love you too.”
His tender touch and listening to his heart beat beneath is chest wall as if it were her song she quickly drifted off to sleep.
