PL - Lia Fanelli Part 2
By Ensign Kato Reon

Reon and Fanelli went to a restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, which was a city in the southern end of California, opposite from San Francisco. They chose a place that was on the third floor of a building with an outdoor seating area that looked over into the street. It was a place Fanelli chose.
A couple of hours later, they found themselves back on the academy campus. They continued to chat without any issues. The conversation was smooth. The topics were enjoyable for both. Reon had to admit, he didn't want it to end, which is something he really relished when it came to company, especially when it's of a female type. With her arms wrapped around one of his, they both listened to each other with great attention and reception to everything the other said. He knew he couldn't keep her though, so when they came to the center of the main quad, they stopped walking.
He took a deep breath, then exhaled, "I have to admit," Reon said, "I had a really good time tonight."
      "Me too." she replied.
"I know it can't go on forever, but I feel like I could talk to you a lot without having a stale moment in the conversation."
"I feel the same," she said. There was a silence between the two. She actually was the one who decided to break it, "Well, it was really nice being able to see you again, Reon."
He gave out a slight smile, "Yeah, it was really nice to see you too. And if I don't sound too forward, after tonight, I really really wish we had actually spent time together and got to know each other while we were still students. I think it... I think we would've been really close."
Lia nodded, "I agree. There's always subspace, ya know..."
He gave out a light chuckle, "True. And I-"
Suddenly she stepped forward to give him a kiss on the lips. He had to admit, he was caught very much off guard. She had just stepped up, put her right hand on his cheek, and touched his lips with hers. He didn't even have time to close his eyes, like she did when it was happening. When she took her lips off of his, she also took her hand off of his face, and looked at him with a smile, "Take care of yourself, Reon. You're a good guy." then she turned around, folded her hands behind her back, then proceeded off.
Before she went out of sight, he was able to snap out of his shock, then say something, "I'll keep in touch!" he anxiously waited for her to turn around and respond to that, which she did with a slight twist of her body while still walking with an expression that told him that she would love it, then turned forward again and continued on. He sighed, then smiled. He thought about going back to his quarters again, but he just remembered something.

THIRTY MINUTES LATER....

Reon materialized on the transporter platform in Glasgow Station where he was in the morning when he got called to go to the Aldrin crew's pre-departure party. There was an eight hour time zone differential between San Francisco and that part of Scotland so it was early morning and the sun was up. He walked up to the building where the Bajoran temple was and low and behold, the same Prylar was at the doorway. When they met eyes, they immediately recognized each other.
"Ah, ye cum bak," remarked the Prylar in a thick Scottish accent, "Ye gonna enter this time, young man?"
He smiled, then entered, and patted the Prylar a couple of times on the shoulder on the the way in.
