Mission: Shake Down Mission
Crew,
We have our orders for the next stage of our cat and mouse game to test out our new ship. We are to head to Andor for the next leg. However, this time, we will not be hunted by Federation ships, but our allies have agreed to help out, so it will be 3 Klingon ships, equipped with cloaking devices of their own and thousands of years of Klingon warfare tactics to use against us.
We have been at Vulcan for a couple of days, long enough to submit our report and make needed adjustments to all the new toys so we won't have the same kinds of problems on this leg. I know, we are still getting used to it all, but we don't have time to take it easy, so we are just going in full speed ahead.
Helm, I need you to take a look at the map and plot a course that is NOT a direct path to Andor. We have to make it a challenge for the Klingons or they will think we are weak and we can't have that.
Engineering, all repairs were done and Starfleet has gone over the data and found that nothing was wrong with the duel warp cores in the nebula, they fall out of synch in nebulas to make sure one is always working even if one stalls for a moment with the interference. They have also improved the efficiency of the power supplies to both the cloak and the slip stream engines. We have also had holo emitters put on the ship and all auxiliary craft to throw out false readings, as well as being able to mask our own signature.
Medical, there were a few who over indulged and will need to be treated. The rest of you, let's figure this out and have some fun with this. Put all your thinking caps on and let's come up with some original ideas. Remember, if it isn't happening in your department, you don't know what is happening elsewhere on the ship.
See you Monday for another adventure on the USS Aldrin.
