Crew,

The Science Conference is holding its opening ceremonies this week. All those who are going to attend have arrived now. We have also started to feel a lot of tension between different ships and while no one has opened fire, shields have been raised and lowered and Starfleet is having to get between ships that are causing the most tension with their neighbors. All security officers on the planet are openly armed and are walking in teams rather than alone, so that there is always back up and they all have open coms to their ships and the other security teams.

The Vulcans have requested more ships to come and assist and Starfleet has sent the USS Potemkin and the ISS Reciprocity to assist. The Reciprocity is a combined Starfleet and Romulan crew on a Romulan Warbird. This is in hopes of setting down some of the more volatile races. Captain Issacs of the Reciprocity is a Mugato, the first one in Starfleet, and is a no nonsense kind of person who won’t tolerate any kind of trouble making. So we shall see what happens next.

We have been asked to send down a delegation to attend the conference. And as we no longer have a science officer, I am willing to allow anyone who wants to to attend the conference. Just let me know. And if you have a special assignment, remember to stay on your toes. Good luck to us all.
