Crew,

A new kind of Syndicate ship has arrived and it has a weapon that is utterly terrifying. It makes entire ships evaporate like a drop on water on a hot sidewalk in high summer. Will we be able to withstand this weapon? What is it and where did they get it? How can we counter it? We had just about cut down the Syndicate fleet to a manageable size when these 15 titanic vessels appeared with this weapon. We need all our wits about us.

Our backup is also calling in for more backup. Are we facing a new threat that makes the Borg look like child's play? The unknown beings have shifted and are now trying to hide behind us, the three Federation vessels. Something about these ships and weapons have the unknown beings cringing like they weren't before. What is it? Do they know something we don't? Maybe it's time we attempt to talk to them and see what they have to say.

So tonight, we are going to attempt to talk to the unknown beings and find out what they know. And we are also waiting for more Federation backup against this new threat. Starfleet Command has contacted us and asked for the report on these new ships and the weapon. All I can say is...good luck to all of us.
