USS Aldrin Game Plan

Crew,

We are now in orbit around a planet deep inside the nebula. We have 23 more hours before we won't be able to leave. It took us an hour to get here from the nebula edge, so we actually have to leave the planet in 21 and a half hours before being trapped here.

The people on the planet have invited us down. They have found a cure for the plague that killed those on their ship. They even have a way of cleansing the ship so it is once again safe to inhabit. They are eager for news of the Federation as they haven't been able to replicate anything strong enough to send a signal to the Federation and Starfleet. We have that ability and have been given permission to set that up for this colony.

The side effects of this nebula is that everyone feels better, healthier. It has also brought on the early contractions of most of the pregnant women on the Aldrin. So far, it hasn't seemed to affect the Commodore and her pregnancy, but right now there is a baby boom in sickbay as seven women have gone into labor prematurely. The scans of the infants show that they are all healthy and ready to be born, so it won't cause a problem. This effect is something that maybe the people on the planet can answer.

The away team on the Enterprise will beam down, get the cure, cleanse the Enterprise, and take back the complete logs and information and history of this colony for Starfleet Command to look over and put in their annuls. Those on the Aldrin who wish to go down to the planet will be able to, for a short period of time, to see what the survivors and their descendants had accomplished with their lives.
