Mission: Ghost Hunting Season
Crew,
I didn't put this out earlier as I was thinking of how it was going to end. So, in the end, Captain House as the "godfather" made Don Leon his heir so that a native would become the next Godfather and they would be able to move away from the contamination. We have also left with Don Leon, copies of books that would better teach him how to give women rights and allow them a place in the fabric of the planet and how it would enhance life for all so that he could lead his people into being less lawless and more lawful. But we told him to do without lawyers, they just complicate things. And then we took all of our technology back and all records they had made of it. We told Don Leon when his planet had advanced enough, they would be able to reach for the stars as well, giving him a goal to work for, but that the society was of equal rights for all sexes and following the rules is a must. We also made sure all the other capos knew about Don Leon's promotion over them and made sure that they would respect it, especially as Captain House destroyed all their weapons in front of them where they could see it with a palm phaser he had hidden from them and that if they didn't obey the new Godfather, Don Leon, he would be back and do to them what he had done to their weapons. They all agreed to follow Don Leon faithfully and more than a few had wet themselves when it happened. Good for Dean. So now as much damage as could be undone had been for this planet to progress on it's own now. Starfleet is happy, we win, and on to the next assignment.
So, what is the next assignment? Something not so exciting as dealing with gangsters. We are to patrol the sectors around Starbase 395. We will be docking with Starbase 395 every couple of months to report in, but unless we come across something unusual, we are to continue the patrol. So, we finally get some boring assignments and give us a chance to relax a little. At least, that is what we all think. Enjoy the patrol.
