Sineade smiled at Flower as she walked next to her towards the hatch, "I really appreciate your help with all this. I'm sure you had other things you could have been doing that were less taxing."

Flower purred, “I was told to help. So as a loyal member of Star fleet, I follow orders.“ She carried two in her white paws.

"Yes," Sineade replied, "But this is a bit more involved than I had thought it would be. And just because it was ordered, doesn't mean I appreciate it any less. After all, you outrank me and yet you are acting like it's the opposite."

“As I meowed before, your playground your orders. I know nothing about being a Tinker,”

Sineade giggled lightly, "I love that you call me a tinker. That's what my Dad always called me." Sineade stopped at the hatch and finagled the spares in her arms to open the hatch. "We'll need to suit up before we go to the inner hatch."

Flower nods and looks at the suits, frowning a little. “I don’t see one that wouldn’t hinder my balance or my other senses. “

Sineade looked at the suits and nodded slowly, "That means I go in alone then. I don't want you to get hurt."She sighed and put the spares on the bench as she pulled down a suit and shimmied into it once more. She took one of the other suits and made a sling of sorts to carry all the spares. Sineade turned to Flower, "Only suit up if I have an emergency situation and there's no one else that can come."

Flower nodded and watched. “I am right here. “ Flower kept looking for a suit.

Sineade slung the improvised sling over her shoulder and climbed up to the second hatch and entered, turning back to wave to FLower before heading in and closing the door behind her.

Flower wraps her tail around her waist as she suited up. “It would look bad on my part if something happened to you. “

Sineade smiled to herself, "It wouldn't look to good for me if you got hurt because of the suit." She slowly made her way back to where she'd been working. Sparks were still evident in the area of damage. She frowned at that as she had thought she'd gotten that under control. Sineade pulled the sling off her shoulder and placed the spares next to the two she'd brought in before and leaned towards the panel to see where the sparks were coming from now.

Flower holds the panel for Darnell, “Wouldn’t want my new friend to be harmed. “

Sineade Smiled up at Flower, "I wouldn't want my new friend to be hurt either." She turned back to the sparking and began to locate the source. Pulling out one pack after another until she could see what was damaged. A small connecter had burned out. Luckily she had several of those in her tool kit. "I see what the problem is here. This will be fun." Sineade grabbed one of the spanners and a connecter from the tool kit and shimmied deeper into the small space.

Flower watches concerned about Darnell.

Sineade swore in her native language as she struggled in the confined space to get to the connector "Tar duit mac cailleach, tar amach!" (Come on you son of a witch, come off!)

Flower looked into the panel, “Everything okay?”

Sineade grunted slightly as she managed to get the spanner on the connector, "Yes, sorry. It's a little tight in here and this connecter isn't being very accommodating." She twisted her had to unhook the connector from the panel.

“It’s okay.”

Sineade finally got the connector off after a few hard tugs. "Got it! At least the old one is off. Now to get the new connector in place.' Sineade wriggled a bit to get the new connecter into place, kicking her feet slightly as she moved.

Flower backed away to avoid being kicked and dropping the panel on her paws.

Sineade almost had the new connector in place when she heard a sound like the wailing of a banshee. Suddenly the connecter she'd just put in shorted out and sparks flew. "Damnaigh sé ar fad!" ( Damn it all! ) She realized she had misaligned the connector so it hadn't seated properly. Now she had spots dancing in front of her, even when she closed her eyes.

“What happened?”

"It didn't seat properly and shorted out. Can you hand me another connector. This one is shot to hell and beyond." Sineade replied as she reached her hand out of the small space she was in.

Flower hands her another connector( what she hopes ).

Sineade grabbed the connector, "Thanks." She pulled the ruined one back off and began to put the new one in place more carefully, making sure it was seated correctly before tightening it into place.

Flower tossed the burnt out one in the recycler

Once she was sure it was tightened properly she sighed in relief and began to shimmy back out. Sineade sat up as she got out and tossed the spanner into the tool kit. Looking over at Flower she smiled, "Well, that was fun."

“What’s next?”

Sineade pointed to the spare packs, "We pull the bad ones out and put in the new ones. Thank goodness this is the easy part." She turned pack to the panel and began to pull the first relay pack.

Flower helps where she can.

As Sineade pulled each old pack out, she was handed a new one by Flower. "Wow, don't think I've ever had an assistant help me with this part before. I'll have to look at those bad ones later to see what went wrong."

“I am sure you will figure it out. “

++Amri++ Darnell to Engineering. Are you registering any improvement on the Nacell yet?
Sineade shrugged, "Either I will or Lt Cmdr Langley will I suppose. He's more experienced." Sineade pulled out another bad pack, "Looks like we are about halfway done."

Flower purred some more. She truly enjoys helping.

++Darnell++ Seems to be some improvement, sir.

Sineade smiled to herself as she heard the purring. Somehow the sound of a cat purring was relaxing; no matter how big the cat happened to be. She paused a second as Amri responded and nodded to Flower as she tapped her badge.
++Amri++ Very good, We are about halfway through replacement. Should continue to improve. Keep an eye on it.

++Darnell++ will do.

Sineade took the next good pack from Flower and put it in place and moved to the next bad one. As she pulled it out she remarked, "That's a good sign. The connector was probably the cause of the problem. But even if it wasn't, the system is already showing improvement."

“That is good news.” Flower meow softly.

They had one more pack to go. Sineade was almost sad they were going to be done so quickly as she had enjoyed working together with Flower. She pulled out the bad pack and held out her hand, "Well this is the last one."

“Maybe we can do more repairs together. “

Sineade smiled, "I'm sure The Chief can find us something to do." She placed the last pack into place and stood back. "That's all of them."

“Pawsome! We should check the input.”

++Darnell++ The nacell system is now fully operational

++Amri++ Great! Thanks. Lt Sheme and I will be out of here in a minute or two. Thanks for the Update.
Sineade smiled broadly, "Time to close up our patient, Dr Sheme." She giggled lightly at her joke as she lowered the access panel into place, "Would you like to close?" She held out the small screwdriver to Flower.

Flower purred and uses the screwdriver. “I don’t have the paws for the Path of a Healer.”

Sineade shook her head, "I think you can do anything you put your mind to. If that was what you wanted to do I think you could. Me, I've always been a tinkerer; it's in my blood, so to speak."

“Well on my planet it’s a little more complicated than that, “ she hands the tool back.

Sineade nodded as she packed up the used packs and her toolkit , "I remember you saying something about that. But I still think if you really wanted to be a healer you could. But, then, what do I know. If you are happy where you are that's what really matters, isn't it." She picked up the impromptu sling that held the packs and slung it over her shoulder, "Wow this is a light lighter than I thought it would be. Guess they lost mass and weight when they got damaged." She grabbed the tool kit and nodded towards the exit, "After you, Lt Sheme."

Flower leads the way out. “I can tell you more if you wish.”

Following after Flower she nods. "I would love to learn more about your planet and your people," Sineade replied as they exited the Nacell and began to climb back down to the entry level.

“What do you want to know first?”

Sineade thought for a moment, "Well, I guess you can start with your family and go from there." They reached the entry level and Sineade put her toolkit on the floor and pulled the sling off her shoulder and began to take the packs out so she could hang the suit back up. "Let's get out of these suits first."

Flower helps Darnell out of her suit first, “Well I have a father and older sister. “

Gets help with her suit, "What are they like?" Once she gets her suit off, she returns the favor and helps Flower.

“My father is also the leader. And my older sister was the first to join the academy before me,” with help gets out of the suit as her tail can once again swish easy.

"wow," Sineade replied as she hung up the suits, "So your sort of royalty?"

“I guess so. Everyone always treated me equal to them. “

Sineade opened the entry hatch and then gathered the damaged packs and her tool case, "That must have been nice. So your father is a leader, what about your mother and Sister?"

Flower looked down hearing mother. Her mother died as she was born. “My sister is assigned on the Starbase Everest. “

Sineade noticed the sad look, "I'm sorry, did I say something wrong?"

“I don’t have a mother. She died as I was born.”

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad. I was just wondering if they were leaders too," Sineade turned to Flower, "I'll try not to be so thoughtless next time we talk."

“You didn’t know. I am not upset. “ Flower purred to reassure her.

Sineade smiled sadly. She hated that she had made Flower sad. She had really loved working side by side with her and liked that Flower had called her a friend. She thought to herself she might have just ruined that friendship with her thoughtless question. "Was there anything you'd like to know about my family?" She asked as a way of setting things right.

“Please tell. “

"Well, my father and mother are farmers, or growers. I am a twin. I am like five minutes older than My Brother Sean," Sineade replied with a small smile, "He's a civilian pilot. In fact he flew the shuttle that brought me to my departure hub on Earth."

“You brother would be called a Navigator. Sometimes I start using terminology from home. “. She purred once more.

Sineade chuckled, "I noticed. He's a pilot, we sometimes have people that fly with the shuttle crew to help guide it, and we call those people Navigators. But Don't worry, I'll know what you are talking about when you use that term from now on."(edited)
