Lt Sineade Darnell and Lt Flowerpetal Sheme

Sineade was busy trying to get the engines and shields working again. Sparks were still flying as she worked furiously to get things under control.


Flower soon emerged from the lift and enters Engineering. She looked around for her friend and purred seeing a pair of legs, as she walked over, “Hey Tinker, your helper has arrived!”

Sineade wasn't expecting to hear Flower's voice and jumped, slamming her head into the panel she was working on. "SON OF A BUMBLE BEE!! That HURT!" She said as she fell backwards to the floor, "Petal Girl, Glad to have you here. I hope you brought your tools!"

Flower tried her best to keep her tail straight. “Of course I did! Man it’s been a wild shift so far on the bridge!”

Sineade got up and rubbed her head, "I can only imagine, It's been a bit crazy down here too!"

“I should probably stop scaring so you don’t hurt yourself,” Flower purred. “Okay so the commodore asked me to come help you,”

"We could use it," Sineade said as she waved her arms around to indicate the several panels that were still sparking, "I've got repair teams out all over the ship making repairs, so just pick a panel that's sparking and see what you can do."

Flower looked at Tinker, “I can try. We entered the nebula and... soon with each hit, the shields were weakened.” She headed to a panel.

Sineade sighed, "I figured as much. Shields and engines were getting massive power feedback spikes" She knelt back down to the panel she was working on, "First thing to check are the relays, make sure the ISO chips aren't blown and the Bio-gel packs haven't been contaminated. If the packs are black. They need to be replaced."

“These repairs are almost identical to the first repairs I helped you with,” Flower purred and looked at each chip. “Claws! I see a few blown chips here.”

Sineade smiled over the panel, "That's why I am sure you can handle those repairs. While you are pulling the blown chips and Packs make sure to check all relays for signs of damage." She went pack to pulling out burnt iso-chips to add the the growing pile on the floor next to her, "This panel was almost completely blown. I'm surprised the shields didn't fail completely!"

“Well last I checked, our shields were at 32%. So they almost failed,”. Flower pulled out the chips and let out a yowl as it was hot.

"You Okay?" Sineade asked and then realized why Flower had let out the yowl. "Sorry, Yeah, they got real hot. I guess I am just used to it so it doesn't bother me. But you might want to put on gloves."

“I should have known better! Could you grab me a dermal regenerator!” Flower growled at herself for being so stupid.

Sineade nodded, and pulled the first aid kit from the nearby storage and grabbed the dermal regenerator and gave it a toss to Flower, "Here ya' go."

Flower caught the tool with her free paw, “I feel like a kitten doing that!” She meowed as she fixed her scorched paw.

Sineade chuckled, "Believe me, I did the same thing when I was a fledgling engineer." She continued to pull the remaining blown chips, "Let me know how many chips you need. I may have to replicate a few more."

“Well before I singed my fur, I counted about 4 chips looked black,”

Sineade gave Flower a sad face, "Well I hope it grows back before your big day." She got up and moved over to pick up the spares she had already brought from storage and brought 5 over to Flower, "There's one extra, just in case." She carried the rest back to the panel she was working on just as Crewman Jarrod arrives with an armful of Bio-gel Packs. "Jarrod, put those near the last console on the left. Then start checking for damage."

Flower took the chips, “I am sure it will... we haven’t even meowed about a date yet. “ Flower carefully replaced the blown chips.

Sineade smiled, "I can't wait to see that beautiful event. But lets make sure we can get there first!"

“It is a beautiful event that is performed on my planet. Okay I have this panel all replaced.”

Sineade nodded, "Ok, Flower. Take the burned chips and add them to this pile. We can recycle them and make more." Sineade concentrated on putting in the new iso-chips in her panel. "Can you check the monitor to your left and see what it says about other damaged power relays?"

Flower added the chips to the pile and looked over at the monitor. “I see another one behind the core.”

Sineade sighed, "Help me finish here. The one behind the core is going to be a bit more... delicate."
