Mission:
Going Home
Location: Shield Emitters/ Port Nacell
Sineade had crawled through the small access corridor and she was now sitting in the cramped work area allotted to the Shield Emitter. Her scans showed some damage but nothing that should have resulted in such a large loss of the shields. If she had to guess, she might conclude it was due to the ‘rock’ maneuver more than anything else. She made the necessary repairs and crawled back through the tube. Her thoughts on just how the damage could have been prevented. Perhaps it was due to her adjusting the shields to a more uneven line to look more like a rock. Perhaps it was the quick start of impulse and warp, and bringing all the other systems back online. Whatever it was, she needed to make repairs and review the data later.
Sineade exited the access corridor and stood up to look around. Damage control teams were busy in three areas. She headed to the port nacelle to assist with repairs there. With both the port and central nacelle damaged it would be impossible to enter warp. And let’s not forget the lance control was also damaged. Hopefully Lt. Cmdr. Langely had assigned teams to those repairs as well.
Sineade arrived at the work site in the port nacelle and saw a small team working hard to repair the damaged area. She joined in to help as much as possible. Thank god there was another team working on the waste reclamation system.
She so didn’t want to have to deal with all that crap.
